Strategy Management – Optimum Coordination of Control and Information

Strategy management efficiently coordinates control and information. To this end, strategies aim at diverting traffic via alternative routes whose traffic signal control systems will then be adjusted accordingly. Data on various events will be analysed using appropriate software tools in order to elaborate specific measures for alternative traffic control. For example, the City of Düsseldorf in Germany developed more than 60 strategies which can be activated in combination with the motorway, if necessary.
